The Buy a Brick scheme is a fundraising initiative to support the renovation and long-term sustainability of Brightwell cum Sotwell Village Hall. Each brick purchased represents a donation towards the redevelopment project.
All funds raised through the scheme will be allocated directly to the renovation and improvement of the Village Hall, including structural works, accessibility upgrades, and community-use enhancements. Payment can be made on purchase, at an agreed date or monthly by standing order (minimum monthly payments apply), as detailed on the campaign pledge form.
The renovation project is being delivered in phases to ensure financial responsibility and to match the pace of fundraising. As a result, the design of the donor wall may not be finalised until later in the project. The Trustees will work to identify the most appropriate milestone for installation, balancing construction practicality, cost efficiency, and donor recognition.
While every effort will be made to honour donor preferences where possible, the exact placement of individual names on the donor wall cannot be guaranteed.
Donations made through the Buy a Brick scheme are voluntary contributions to a charitable community project. Donations are non-refundable, including in the event of project delays, changes to the renovation plan, or adjustments to the donor wall's installation timeline.
Regular updates on fundraising progress, renovation milestones, and donor wall planning will be shared through the Village Hall's normal communication channels, including the website, social media, and community newsletters.
The Village Hall Trustees oversee the scheme, ensuring transparency, appropriate use of funds, and timely delivery of project phases. Decisions regarding design, installation, and timing of the donor wall rest with the Trustees.
The Trustees reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions if required to reflect changes in project scope, construction requirements, or fundraising progress. Any significant updates will be communicated publicly.
Any personal information provided by donors as part of the Buy a Brick Scheme will be used solely for the administration of the scheme, including processing donations, maintaining donor records, and arranging donor recognition where applicable. Personal information will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for the administration of the scheme or where required by law.
Donors may contact the Village Hall Trustees regarding any questions about the use of their personal information.
